United Cup: Katie Boulter and Charles Broom assist Nice Britain beat Argentina

Katie Boulter and Charles Broom helped Nice Britain beat Argentina of their Group F opener of the United Cup.

Nice Britain took a 1-0 lead after Boulter beat Nadia Podoroska 6-2 6-3 however Argentina hit again when Tomas Martin Etcheverry received the match to beat Billy Harris 3-6 6-3 6-2.

Boulter and Broom, 26, the British primary participant, emerged within the blended doubles rubber towards Maria Lourdes Carle and Etcheverry 7-6 (7-4) 7-5.

“I am actually pleased to win,” Boulter, 28, stated.

“I’m very pleased about at this time. We performed very effectively collectively because it was the primary time.”

Nice Britain will face Australia of their subsequent Group F match on January 1. A win would put them within the quarterfinals in Perth, Australia.

The United Cup began in 2023 when the USA received the primary version and Germany took the title in 2024.
